Your specific questions

To add the shortcut for your digital business card link to your iPhone home screen

⚠️ Important

You must use Safari (icon representing a blue and white compass).

This does not work with :

  • Google Chrome (red, yellow, green and blue round icon)
  • A browser opened from Facebook, Gmail, WhatsApp, etc.

🔄 Preliminary checks (recommended)

Before creating the shortcut, we're going to check that your iPhone is up to date and ready to work properly. 1 Open Settings (grey icon with gears). 2. tap General. 3. tap on Software Update and check that iOS is up to date.

It's also a good idea to have a recent iCloud backup.

1️⃣ Open your map in Safari

We're now going to open your map directly in Safari so that we can create the shortcut. 1 Open Safari (blue compass). 2. press the address bar (located at the top or bottom depending on your iOS configuration). 3. enter the full URL of your map (e.g. https://card.pm/nomdevotresociete/prenom.nom) or open the link you received by email or text message. 4. wait for the page to load completely.

2️⃣ Open the share menu

We're going to use Safari's sharing menu to add the map to the home screen.

  1. press the Share button (icon representing a square with an upward arrow).

Depending on your configuration :

  • If the Safari bar is at the bottom → icon at the bottom centre.
  • If the bar is at the top → icon at the top right.

If you don't see the Safari bar, scroll up slightly.

3️⃣ Add map to home screen

In this step, we're going to create the shortcut that will appear as an application on your iPhone.

  1. A panel will open from the bottom of the screen.
2. scroll vertically upwards
3. look for the "On home screen" option

(icon representing a small screen with a + symbol). 4. press it.

⚠️ Important (older iPhone models) On some older iPhones (e.g. iPhone 11, iPhone 12 or equivalent models), the Share button may not be directly visible.

In this case:

  1. press the round button with three small dots (...) located in the Safari bar.
  2. a menu will open
  3. press "Share" (square icon with upward arrow). 4 Then tap "On the home screen" (icon with the + symbol).

If the "On the home screen" option does not appear.

The option may not be activated in your menu. 1 Scroll to the bottom of the panel. 2. press "Modify actions". 3. search for "On the home screen". 4. press the green + button on the left 5. press OK at the top right.

The option will now be visible.

4️⃣ Confirm addition

We are now going to confirm the creation of the shortcut.

  1. A new window will open. 2 Check the name displayed (you can personalise it here).
3. press "Add" (blue button at top right).

✅ Done

Your map now appears on your home screen, just like an application.

You can open it with a single click to share it instantly.

⚠️ Common mistakes to avoid

Here are the most common errors that prevent the shortcut from being created.

❌ Typing the address in Google instead of Safari

Do not type the URL into the Google search box.

👉 Always open Safari 👉 Paste the URL into the Safari address bar

❌ Open the link from Facebook, Gmail or WhatsApp

These applications often open an internal browser.

👉 Always choose "Open in Safari." 👉 Then repeat the procedure

❌ Be in private browsing

Private mode can prevent certain actions.

Check that Safari is not in "Private" mode.

❌ Page not fully loaded

Wait a few seconds until the card is fully displayed before opening the Share menu.

🎨 Customise the icon with your logo

If the icon created is generic, this means that the favicon is not configured.

🔎 What is a favicon?

The favicon is the small square image associated with your card.

It is used :

  • In browser tabs
  • In favourites
  • For the shortcut icon on the home screen

This image becomes your mini logo.

✅ How to add your favicon 1 Log in to your CARD.PM interface. 2. go to YOUR IDENTITY 3 Then go to Images & logos in the template. 4. add your favicon.

📐 Recommended format

  • Square image (ratio 1:1)
  • Format : PNG
  • Recommended size: 512 × 512 pixels
  • Transparent background recommended
  • Centred logo

After adding :

  1. reload your card in Safari. 2 Delete the old shortcut.
