CAUTION: The methods for creating the shortcut may vary considerably depending on the browser you use and the brand of your smartphone.

Once your interactive business card is open in your smartphone's browser ideally Google Chrome, follow these steps:

1 - Click on the function that allows you to scroll through the browser options

2 - Click on "Add to home screen".

3 - Click on ADD.

*Here you can rename your shortcut if you wish (by default your first and last name).

Initial diagnosis

Before starting troubleshooting, check :

• Internet connection:** Test with other applications
• Storage space:** Make sure you have enough free space.
• Android version:** Minimum Android 5.0 recommended

Solutions by problem

The shortcut does not open

1. Delete the existing shortcut (press and hold > Delete)
2. Restart your device
3. Recreate the shortcut from the browser
4. Test immediately after creation

Blank page or loading error

1. Open the browser as usual
2. Go to Settings > Privacy > Clear data
3. Select "Cached images and files".
4. Recreate the shortcut

The shortcut disappears

If the shortcut disappears regularly :

• Check your battery optimisation settings
• Deactivate optimisation for Chrome/Samsung Internet
• Add the browser to the protected applications

Advanced solutions

Browser reset

Warning: This action will delete your saved favourites and passwords.

1. Go to Settings > Applications
2. Find Chrome or Samsung Internet
3. Tap "Storage" then "Clear Data".
4. Restart the application and recreate the shortcut

Alternatives if the problem persists

• Firefox:** Use Firefox, which also supports shortcuts.
• Bookmark:** Create a bookmark on the home screen
• Third-party launcher:** Use Nova Launcher or Action Launcher

Personalising your shortcut improves the user experience and reinforces your professional brand image.

Name customisation

When creating the shortcut :

1. After selecting "Add to home screen".
2. Edit the text in the "Name" field
3. Choose a short, descriptive name (e.g. "My Pro Card")
4. Avoid special characters, which can cause problems.

Icon customisation

The icon is automatically generated from :

• Your business card favicon
• The PWA icon if configured
• Your company profile image or logo
• A default browser icon, otherwise

Optimising the icon on the card side

For a better icon, configure your map :

• Format:** PNG, minimum dimensions 192x192 pixels
• Design:** Uniform background, high contrast
• Simplicity:** Avoid details that are too fine
• Consistency:** Respect your graphic charter

Modification after creation

To change the name after creation :

1. Press and hold the shortcut
2. Select "Modify" or the pencil icon
3. Change the name to your preference
4. Confirm the changes

It is important that the display on your Android smartphone is in standard mode, not simplified mode.

You must therefore deactivate simplified mode:

• Go to your smartphone's display settings
• Find and click on "Simplified mode" in the list of settings
• Then click on "Standard mode" and "Save".
